Jeep India has been introducing the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee SUV in the country.Jeep has commenced the local assembly of Grand Cherokee in Jeep’s Ranjangaon plant in Pune Maharashtra. The company has also opened the order books for the premium SUV. It will take the covers off of the new Grand Cherokee on November 11.The all-new SUV will become the brand’s fourth offering in India and will be the brand’s fourth locally assembled model as well.The Jeep Grand Cherokee will come loaded with a host of features, including ADAS.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Powertrain.

According to reports, the India-spec Grand Cherokee is expected to be offered with a 2.0- litter plug-in hybrid power-train. Globally, the SUV also gets a 3.6-litter V6 and a 5.7- litre V8 engine option. But, In India-spec model is likely to get a 2.0- litre turbocharger petrol engine only, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.It will also get Jeep’s Quadrant-Tracy four- wheel drive system along with select-able terrain modes such as Auto, Sport, Mud/sand, and Snow.

The latest Grand Cherokee is largely similar to the previous model with a more dominant visual appearance with sharper lines.
